What Kind of Equipements are being used in a Drilling Rig?

Drilling rig is a highly complex and detailed set of many different kind of safety extraction and cleaning equipment. Firstly, to drill we need a very strong and durable piece of equipment called a drill bit. This is the part that goes into the ground and makes a hole. While the hole is being formed and the bit goes deeper this equipment can get very hot.

At this point a water pump pushes a mixture of chemicals and water into the hole and cools the bit down to the regular operating temperatures. As the cooling water and debris from the bit mix together another pump pulls the mixture up from the well shaft. These pumps are connected to filtration and cleaning units to prevent the environmental damage that might occur.

What Happens as Drilling Deepens?

As the depth of the well increases some problems and risks begin to occur. One of these risks is collapse of the well. To prevent this steel piping called steel casings are installed after the drill bit progresses downward. After the casings are placed concrete is pumped on the outside of the said casings to prevent collapse or any kind of structural integrity problems.

As these operations are conducted down inside the well some very important safety measures must be put in place in order to prevent loss of life or damage to the product and environment.
